The term guardian angels refers to the belief that each person has an angel who is available to shepherd their soul through life, and help bring them to God. Belief in the reality of angels, their mission as messengers of God, and man’s interaction with them, goes back to the earliest times. Cherubim kept Adam and Eve from slipping back into Eden; angels saved Lot and helped destroy the cities of the plains; in Exodous Moses follows an angel, and at one point an angel is appointed leader of Israel. The concept of each soul having a personal guardian angel, is also an ancient one, and long accepted by the Church. See that you despise not one of these little ones [children]: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. How great the dignity of the soul, since each one has from his birth an angel commissioned to guard it. The feast celebrating the angels who helped bring us to God began in many local calendars centuries ago, and was widely known by the 16th century. Pope Paul V placed a feast venerating the angels on the general calendar on 27 September 1608. Initially placed after the feast of Michael the Archangel, it was seen as a kind of supplement to that date. Pope Clement X elevated the feast, celebrated 2 October, to an obligatory double for the whole Church. On 5 April 1883, Pope Leo XIII raised the feast to the rank of a double major. Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide.

439-0769 Nice, clean Thrift store with reasonable prices. Pants Plus sizes come here! Great plus size selection. There sizes are somewhat sorted out so you can quickly find what u r looking for. Guardian Angels is a nice thrift store that must have sprung out of nowhere; or maybe I’m way overdue for an eye exam. The larger furniture is against one wall, and as I walked around the perimeter, I passed the mirrors, headboards, bookcases, children’s toys, kitchen items, books, vinyl records, linens, jewelry, accessories, and then interesting, high-end items. As with the nicer thrift stores, everything was in great shape and in some cases, close to new. I really like the Guardian Angel Thrift store in Fuquay so I decided to check this one out when I was in the area. It is a large store and cleaner than most thrift stores in the Raleigh area. There is a large selection of various items and I thought the prices were reasonable. Pretty nice place, friendly workers, but some items were pricey. Wilton cake pans for 5.00! Many casserole dishes too were between 7-10.00, which is high for a thrift store. No toys to be found-again! My daughter did find a cute top for 3.00-not bad. Awesome thrift store with awesome employees.

Guardian Angel Society Our Lady of Angels Association

In His great love, God has assigned to each of us a special guardian – our own, unique, Guardian Angel. As you know, one’s Guardian Angel watches over and protects the one to who it is assigned. Considering the dangers, worries, stresses, sickness, and temptations we can face each day, it is comforting to know that we have a Guardian Angel whose sole purpose is to watch over and protect us. In recognition of this special protector, Our Lady of Angels Association has formed the Guardian Angel Society. I invite you to renew your affiliation or enroll yourself and others in this Society. May I suggest that you enroll young people you know. They are surrounded by so many dangers and temptations found in our society. Each week I offer a Mass for you and for all those enrolled asking in a special way that your Guardian Angel guide and protect you. Your gift will be used to help support Vincentian Charities- those charities whose purpose is to assist the poor in the spirit of Saint Vincent de Paul. In appreciation of your support, I will send you an enrollment certificate/prayer card for each person or family you have enrolled. Please be sure to enroll now with our secure online form.
